NSFD (not safe for diabetics)

Those New Yorkers continue to astound me with their SAVVY snacking! A roving reporter, along with her photog, captured this amazing trompe l'oeil of a dessert at The Bryant Park Grill last weekend. The bun is some sort of phyllo pastry (described as bearing greater resemblance to the cake cones you get DQ in) and the burger itself is a chocolate truffle cake. Garnishes include a pistachio ice cream "pickle."

Can you believe it?! They took one snack and made it into another snack!! This feat is both a crowning achievement of art and science, a shoe-in for the Nobel prize.

Leave it to Snackmaniac to push the boundaries of snacking. This is so avant garde, it's about as appetizing as a cow sculpted out of butter.
