Snacks worth the brain freeze

G and I had the opportunity to go to NASHVEGAS for Emily and Drew's wedding. The SnackManiac did plenty of advance work to ensure maximum southern snacking.

We didn't waste any time and hit up Bar-B-Cutie within 500 yards of the airport for a light afternoon snack. G had a pork shoulder "sandwich" where the bread was these huge cornbread pancake sort of things and I had a full on plate of pork shoulder with beans, coleslaw, a piece of "toast" dipped in butter and some other side that I can't seem to remember. Oh, I also had some "tea" that could be more accurately described as liquid tooth decay.

After that, we were on to a mysterious unmarked POPSICLE store that I read about on the 'net. We weren't exactly hungry as a result of our snack, but these frozen treats did not disappoint!

Here is a picture of the plum popsicle I had at Las Paletas:

We managed to hit up Las Paletas three days in a row!! We even took a *quick* break between the church and the reception to stop in...what better way to celebrate matrimony than with a Chai creamsicle?!? There is none.

Here is a full inventory of the popsicles we wolfed down:
  • Plum
  • Honeydew melon
  • Cucumber chili
  • Avocado (cream based, best avocado snack since guacamole!!)
  • Basil (cream based, best basil snack since pesto!)
  • Chai
  • Strawberry chocolate chip
  • Pineapple-kiwi
  • Grapefruit
Readers, as soon as the SM learns how to make popsicles, I plan on opening my own high grossing popsicle palace. If any of you have extra Igloo coolers that you aren't using, let me know. Frozen snacking is the wave of the future!!

MMMMmmm Popsicles!!! You really should open a popsicle store. They're a refreshing treat on a stick!

Also, you need to update more regularly. I feel like there has to be snack news that you haven't been sharing.
