I was feeling a little peckish after dinner, so we ordered some milkshakes with booze in them. (correction: both mayo AND booze juice up any and all snacks.) Beth had one called “Grandma’s Treat which was vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and bourbon with some toffee pieces on top. WOW.

SnackManiac takes a bite out of the big apple: PART II: a snack for the FAMILY
Café Palermo advertises "The Best Cannoli on the Entire Planet." That is the sort of claim that SnackManiac respects. There I had the pleasure of seeing a fellow snacks-pert in action, as the self-proclaimed CANNOLI KING made the rounds of his shop. (He looked relatively young and well-rested for someone who has obviously scoured the PLANET for other, potentially superior, cannolis.)

Attention Vegans, this snack’s for you!!!
Check out this Japana-snack sent in from a tipster in ALABAMA. These are tempura green beans with some sort of delicious spicy mayonnaise for dipping. (SM PREVIEW: stay tuned for further posting on dipping things in mayo!!) Sometimes I have a hard time getting in my 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables a month, so, while it is NOT my intention to turn this into a weblog for health NUTS, I am pleased to report on vegetables just this once.
New product alert!
SnackManiac takes a bite out of the big apple: PART I
So Nikki and I are journeying back from NYC where the weekend started with a chocolate rugelach in Bryant Park and ended with a huge slice of meat lovers pizza IN MY BED (if I was smart, I would have eaten in in Nikki's bed while she was brushing her teeth.)

NSFD (not safe for diabetics)
Can you believe it?! They took one snack and made it into another snack!! This feat is both a crowning achievement of art and science, a shoe-in for the Nobel prize.
