Mallo: not sure what it is, but I like it

A top secret source of mine tipped me off to this snack indigenous to her hometown of Pittsburgh. After having made the case for the Mallo Cup for several weeks, the PA-snacker presented me with some review copies, so I couldn't ignore this tooth-decay inducing delicacy any longer.

The Mallo Cup *looks* like the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, but don't be fooled! The chocolate of the Mallo Cup has tiny bits of coconut in it, which is both delicious and adds a little texture. The middle is basically corn syrup and guar gum (a vegetable stabilizer, obviously,) and is sort of a cross between marshmallow fluff and that stuff in the middle of a cadbury egg, but much more sophisticated.

While this snack is sometimes hard to find outside of its natural habitat, the good news is that the MC is available in a "GIANT SIZE 4-PACK" at Wegman's, my new favorite snack scoping location. And take it from the SnackManiac, it is most certainly advisable to eat at least four of these in one sitting.
