So Nikki saw a dude on 18th and New Hampshire today who was drinking a Sparks. I let her know that I would bring it to the public's attention by blogging about it.
(Sparks is the hobo brew that is in a can that looks like a battery. and makes your limbs numb.)

Actually, after some internet research, it seems that the gentleman was partaking of Sparks "Plus", which I can only assume makes your limbs just fall off.
I was just reading about Sparks on-line and there is an internet site where someone refers to Sparks as "malty methadone beverage."
I guess I'm a hobo. I love Sparks and I drink it as much as I can... it's hard to find around here, much harder than in Lexington, VA, so whenever I see Sparks I consume it in mass quantitites. Also, the other day, I was at the Anheuser Busch brewery, and they have their own brand of Sparks called "Tilt." They actually have two colors - orange, which tastes likes Sparks, and a green color which is even higher in alcohol content than the orange, and it tastes like extra-sugary Sprite.
In case you are ever jones-ing for some Sparks in the Dupont area, the Metro Supermarket on 22nd and P sells it in the refrigerated beer section...not sure who decided to stock that one, but good to know it's available. That Sprite-flavored Tilt sounds like it could be pretty good.
